Every since I was a little girl, my darling Mother has always taught me that...
Presentation is everything.
If you peek through the pages of Southern Vogue, you'll notice that I love to gift wrap anything & everything.
To me, the package is as much fun as the present!
[I'm also the type of girl who will have a department store gift wrap something... for myself.]
99 percent of the time, I prefer to wrap in boxes with actual wrapping paper.
It's certainly more exciting to tear open wrapping paper than it is to remove three sheets of tissue paper from a bag.
I'm not opposed to gift bags, I just don't always find one that's just right.
For that reason, I open buy plain gift bags and embellish them myself.
For today's DIY project, I'll show you a gift bag I made for a Valentine White Elephant gift exchange.
This would also be a great bag to make for a bachelorette gift or bachelorette party goodie bag.
It's definitely the best dollar store because everything is actually $1, and they sell amazing balloons!
Instructions:
Instructions:
1. Buy a three-pack of plain white gift bags for $1.
2. Stock up on scrapbooking paper with a print you want to use.
I selected the pink zebra stripe and the gold polka dot for these bra & undies sets.
3. Get a scrap piece of paper/newspaper/cardstock & loosely sketch the outline of a bra and undies.
I used my cookie cutter to look at for the general shape.
4. Use as stencil to trace onto back of scrapbooking paper. Cut out.
5. Use Elmer's spray adhesive to glue to gift bag.
I like to have a separate print on each side, and pink & gold are my favorite colors!
VOILA! Easy breezy, and a cute and inexpensive way to personalize your party bags.
