Halloween Peeps in a Jar

Quite unexpectedly, Southern Vogue has recently received a tremendous amount of traffic because a post about my "Easy Halloween Favors" has been making the rounds on Pinterest.

Ironically, that post doesn't contain the instructions for the mix. So, here they are! Enjoy!

Halloween Peeps in a Jar

Crush one sleeve of graham crackers & layer the crumbs in the bottom of a one quart mason jar.
Place eight peeps (I favor the ghosts!) standing up and facing outwards against the glass.
(Be careful not to squish your ghosts!)
Spoon 1/3 cup of brown sugar into the middle of the jar to keep the Peeps in place.
Pour 1/2 cup of Halloween M&Ms over the brown sugar.

Empty the contents of the mason jar into a mixing bowl.
Cuts the Peeps up into smaller pieces.
Melt 1/2 cup butter and add 1 teaspoon of vanilla.
Pour this mixture over the dry ingredients and mix well.
Pat down into a greased 8x8 baking dish.
Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes. Cool and cut into bars.

Individual Peep Smore Kits

1 graham cracker
1 fun-size Hershey bar
1 ghost Peep

Place in a clear cello bag with a pretty orange ribbon. Voila!
